What is hejGuide?
hejGuide is an all-in-one vacation rental management platform for independent hosts. It combines booking management, digital guidebooks, channel manager, guest messaging, task automation, review management, and upselling — in one platform. Starter and Pro plans also include the AI Connection (beta), which lets you connect your own AI assistant to every module.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 1 listing with a digital guidebook, guest portal, calendar, and mobile app. No credit card required, no time limit. Upgrade when you're ready. (The AI Connection is included on Starter and Pro, not on Free.)
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. The guest experience — guidebook, check-in, portal, messaging — is fully web-based and mobile-optimized. Guests open a link on their phone. No app download needed.
Can I sync with Airbnb and Booking.com?
Yes. hejGuide syncs via iCal (free) and a full channel manager powered by Channex (Starter plan) that syncs availability, rates, and bookings in real-time across Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo — with Expedia and more on the way.
How is hejGuide different from other tools?
Most tools handle either property management OR guest experience. hejGuide combines both: bookings, calendar, and automation plus guidebooks, check-in, upselling, and a guest portal. One tool instead of three — and the AI Connection (beta) lets your own AI assistant work directly with every module, with a review-before-publish step so you stay in charge.
What is the AI Connection (beta)?
It is an open Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint that lets you connect your own AI assistant — Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n, or any client that supports MCP — directly to your hejGuide account. You approve which modules the AI may touch via per-scope OAuth consent. New guidebook pages, places, translations, message replies and review replies always land as drafts in your dashboard, so nothing publishes or sends without your click. Included on Starter and Pro at no extra cost during beta.
Is my data secure?
Yes. hejGuide is GDPR compliant, uses SSL encryption, and is hosted in the Netherlands. Your data is encrypted and backed up daily. For the AI Connection: guest names are masked in AI responses by default, PII unmasks are capped at 50 per day per account, require a reason, and are audit-logged for GDPR traceability.
